El Paso County Inmate Lookup: Find Jail, Bond, Visits, Mail and Court Records
El Paso County operates two adult detention facilities, and a person’s location can change after intake, classification, court, bond or transfer. The official jail-record search is the best place to confirm current custody, but the result is only the beginning.
This guide explains how to search correctly, identify the right facility, understand booking and bond information, follow the weekend visitation schedule, send approved mail, fund phone calls, check the criminal case and handle a missing or transferred record.

El Paso County Jail visitation schedule by floor or pod
The correct visit period depends on whether the inmate is housed on an odd or even floor or pod. Ask for the current housing assignment immediately before the visit because transfers can change the applicable time.

The county records site can be slow during high traffic. Keep the clerk and inmate-information phone numbers available.
Include “El Paso County, Texas,” full inmate name, identifier and the Maryland PO Box.
Cash is returned along with the other contents in the envelope.
A transferred or released person may no longer use the same county telephone account.

Another case or hold can keep the person in custody after one bond is satisfied.
Keep the inmate identifier, case numbers, facility, housing assignment and transaction receipts together.
