Review every case and bond condition One booking may have several cases. A second case, warrant or hold may keep the person in custody.
Confirm the bond type The court may order release on recognizance, an unsecured condition, a cash or secured bond, or another condition. The jail cannot reduce a judicial order.

Books and publications

Paperback books, newspapers or magazines generally must come directly from an approved publisher or retailer with the shipping document. Material depicting nudity, violence, criminal activity or a security threat can be refused.

Legal mail is different: Attorneys should use the current legal-mail and professional-communication instructions. Do not assume the routine postcard process protects attorney-client confidentiality.

How an MCSO inmate contacts family

MCSO’s current family communication services are integrated through ViaPath/GettingOut. The inmate initiates ordinary calls and available messages; a family member cannot call directly into the housing unit.

Outside account

Create or manage the communication account through GettingOut. Use the same legal identity and phone number that will receive the call.

Inmate account

The inmate may use available jail funds or communication credits depending on the selected service. A commissary deposit and a communication deposit may be separate.

Confirm the current booking Add the correct inmate to the outside account.
Verify the receiving number Blocked, VoIP, business, international or carrier-restricted numbers may require support assistance.
Add only the needed funds Review fees and avoid depositing to the wrong service wallet.
Accept the inmate-initiated contact Inmates cannot normally receive incoming personal calls.

Medical, mental-health and urgent family concerns

Maricopa County Correctional Health Services provides medical and behavioral health care in county jails. Lower Buckeye Jail contains the Infirmary Clinic and Mental Health Unit for more intensive services.
