Bexar County Inmate Lookup: Recent Arrests, SID, Bond, Visits and Release Help
Bexar County does not answer every custody question through one simple search box. A recent arrest, an inmate’s SID number, a seven-day jail activity report, a current bond amount and a court case may require different official tools.
This guide shows which source to use first, how to confirm the correct person, and what to do next for magistration, bond, visitation, commissary, mail, calls, medical concerns, property, court records or release—without making you open a dozen county pages just to understand the process.

How to search Bexar County jail and recent-arrest records
How to find a Bexar County inmate SID number
SID means System Identification Number. In Bexar County it is one of the most useful pieces of information to save because the mailroom, banking system, care-package vendor and records offices commonly use it.
The Central Magistrate Search displays the SID for qualifying recent arrests processed within 24 hours.
Call Central Filing at 210-335-2238 when you need help locating a SID through misdemeanor records.
Call the District Clerk Criminal section at 210-335-2591 for felony-record assistance.
