How to search the Pinellas County Jail roster correctly
How to understand a Pinellas County inmate-search result
| Result field | What it usually means | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| Docket or inmate ID | The identifying number associated with the person in the jail system. | Use it for bond, mail, money orders, calls, video accounts, and court research. |
| Booking date | When the person entered the Pinellas County intake process. | Compare it with the known arrest date and distinguish a current booking from an older arrest. |
| Arresting agency | The agency that delivered or charged the person. | Use it when a recent arrest has not yet appeared or when a police report is needed. |
| Charge | An allegation or booked offense—not a conviction. | Check the court case because charges may be amended, dismissed, combined, or resolved. |
| Bond | The amount or release condition connected with a charge. | Verify every charge and possible hold before paying. |
| Housing assignment | The inmate’s assigned jail location or unit. | Use it on money orders and confirm it before contacting medical, property, or professional-visitation staff. |
| Release or transfer status | The person may have left county custody or moved to another authority. | Call Inmate Records before arranging pickup or assuming the person remains at the jail. |

What happens after someone is booked into Pinellas County Jail?
Every incoming inmate receives a medical and mental-health screening. Special medical, dental, emotional, prescription, pregnancy, or suicide concerns should be reported during intake.
Classification staff interview the person, and the jail takes a photograph and fingerprints. An identification card must be worn while in custody.
U.S. currency in the person’s possession is credited to the jail account. Personal property is inventoried and stored according to jail rules.
The jail issues a uniform and footwear during intake. After permanent housing, basic linens, hygiene products, a drinking cup, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and other listed items are issued.
Classification determines an appropriate housing assignment using custody, medical, behavioral, safety, criminal-history, and operational factors.
Most non-federal inmates are charged a nonrefundable $20 administrative subsistence fee. If the account lacks funds, the jail places a lien that can remain for three years.
