How to understand a Las Vegas inmate-search result
| Field | What it means | Do not assume | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inmate ID | Permanent or booking-related identifier used by that detention system. | A Clark County ID works at the city jail. | Copy the number exactly before deposits, mail or calls. |
| Booking date | The date the person entered that facility’s booking process. | It is always the incident date. | Use it to separate a current booking from an older case. |
| Charge | The alleged offense recorded at booking. | The charge proves guilt or will remain unchanged. | Use the court case to check later filings and outcomes. |
| Bail | An amount or status associated with a particular court matter. | Paying one bail clears every case or hold. | Verify all case numbers and holds before paying. |
| Housing | Current assigned facility, tower or unit. | It will remain the same until the visit. | Check again before registering or traveling. |
| Release date/status | Completed, expected or available release information. | A projected time is guaranteed. | Confirm physical release with the holding facility. |
| Court number | The court record linked to the custody matter. | One booking has only one case. | Search each number in the proper court system. |
